Notice Regarding the Integrated 71st Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination

■ The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the official notification for the Integrated 71^st Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination. A total of 1,298 vacancies have been declared for this year which includes 1219 vacancies for Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) and 79 for Finance Administrative Officer (FAO).

Important Dates:

The online application process will commence from 02 June 2025 and will remain open until 30th June 2025.

Exam Date: Prelims: 13th September 2025 (Final)

(The old date for Prelims was 10 September 2025; it has now been reshedued to 13 September 2025.)

Age limit:

As of 1st August 2025, the age criteria are as follows:

(Note: For Cooperative Extension Officer, Cooperative Department, Maximum age limit will be calculated from 1st August 2015)

Minimum Age: Depending on the service, the minimum age is 20, 21, or 22 years.

Maximum Age:

Unreserved (Male): 37 years
Unreserved (Female), Backward Classes, and Extremely Backward Classes (Male and Female): 40 years
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Male and Female): 42 years

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the Combined Competitive Examination should have passed graduation or equivalent examination from a recognized university.

The BPSC has published the detailed advertisement and comprehensive instructions for submitting the online application on its official website. Students are advised to visit the website and thoroughly review the detailed advertisement before initiating the online application process.

Answer key:

The final answer key of the 71st CCE (Prelims) has been released. A total of 5 questions have been deleted from the 150 questions.

Results:

• Results of the 71st CCE (Prelims) have been declared on 18th November 2025.

• A total of 13,368 candidates have been successfully selected in this exam.

• Among the declared successful candidates, the distribution is as follows:

Unreserved: 5,970
Economically Weaker Section (EWS – 07): 1,376
Scheduled Caste (SC – 02): 1,752
Scheduled Tribe (ST – 03): 97

• Among these 13,368 candidates, the horizontal reservation includes:

113 visually impaired (VI)

• Additionally, 255 candidates belonging to the dependents (grandsons/granddaughters) of former freedom fighters of Bihar are included in the list of successful candidates.

• In the 71st CCE (Prelims), 211 candidates scored more than 100 marks.
