Updates on the Integrated 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination:

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has recently announced several important updates regarding the Integrated 70th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination. These are as follows:

    1. Vacancy Update: The total number of vacancies has been increased to 2035 (1957 + 70 new + 4 new + 4 new).
    2. Application Correction: Candidates can make corrections to their One Time Registration (OTR), except for fields like name, parents’ names, and date of birth, from 19th October 2024, until the application deadline. Those who have already applied can also rectify errors in other fields.
    3. Category/Gender Correction: Changes in reservation category or gender require the payment of an additional fee via Bank Demand Draft. (for more details please read the official pdf)
    4. Extended Deadline: The final date to submit applications is now 4th November 2024. Corrections are allowed from 19th October to 4th November 2024.
    5. No Further Extensions: After 4th November 2024, no further extensions or corrections will be permitted.

Exam Date and Admit Cards:

Exam Date: The scheduled date for examination is 13th of December 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM .

Admit Cards:

Candidates can download their e-Admit Card by log in  https://onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in/main/home

The downloaded e-Admit Card will include the allocated examination centre code, mentioning the centre code and the district name.

Detailed information about the examination exact center will be available on 10th December 2024.

Entry to the examination center will only be permitted until 11:00 AM. Candidates must ensure their presence at the center by 9:30 AM.

The examination will include multiple-choice questions with four options for each question. A negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks will be applied for each incorrect answer.

The Commission has not provided any indication regarding the implementation of a normalization process in the 70th preliminary examination, thereby entirely excluding it from their evaluation methodology.
